Homemade Biscuits

Serves: 5

   1/4 cup lard (can also use Crisco)
   1/2 cup buttermilk
   1 cup self-rising flour

Cut lard into flour until well mixed. Add buttermilk. Roll out on a floured surface and either pinch off small biscuits or cut them out with a biscuit cutter. Makes about 10 biscuits
